Guangdong has seen two new records on import and export in September. According to the latest statistics from the Department of Commerce of Guangdong province, last month, the region recorded an import and export turnover of 784.14 billion yuan RMB, increasing 12.1% year-on-year. Among it, the province's export turnover hit 494.54 billion yuan RMB, up 20.6%.

Guangdong maintained double-digit growth with its major trading partners in September. The trade turnover with its largest trading partner ASEAN reached 980.37 billion yuan RMB, increasing 17.4%.

While regarding the statistics from January to September, Guangdong's import and export turnover hit 6.03 trillion yuan RMB, increasing 18.6% year-on-year. It accounts for 21.3% of that in China.

From January to September, import and export turnover of foreign-invested companies in Guangdong reached 2.27 trillion yuan RMB, up 14.8% on the same period last year.
